NYC Yarn Crawl 2025

The NYC Yarn Crawl is here (Friday, September 26th - Sunday, September 28th) and we're ready to help make sure you get to all the shops and fill up your bags.

Enjoy 10% off all purchases in-store and online at Knitty City all weekend! Pick up a free NYC Yarn Crawl pin and sticker. Sign-in to be entered for the store giveaways and challenge the scavenger hunt at all 10 shops!

There are 10 shops participating in the crawl this year. If you want to hit them all (and you do want to hit them all), you're going to need a plan. Fortunately, you have a few days to make this work and we've got your back.

** We're starting a movement to get knitters and crocheters to ride on the 2nd car of the subway during the crawl (and all the time). **

Pop-up Shops at Knitty City

Pop-up shops at Knitty City are an opportunity for entrepreneurial individuals to have a space to show and sell their products.

We will feature a different small business in front of Knitty City on Saturdays. Please stop by, check out what they have to offer, and ask them about what they do.

20% of all pop-up sales are donated to non-profit organizations. This season, we will be giving 20% to Heifer International.

WiPs Wednesdays

Wednesdays, 6-8pm at Knitty City after hours

Bring one of your many Works in Progress and hangout and meet fellow crafters in the store after hours. There's no teaching after dark, but we'll keep the register open if you need to pick up any supplies.

Men's Night Thursdays

Every Thursday EXCEPT the first Thursday of each month (Book Club Thursdays)
Meets in store, 6-8pm

We're bringing back in-store events, starting with a soft-opening of our weekly Men's Night on Thursdays. Bring your knitting, crochet, or spinning and join us for a casual after hours hangout at Knitty City. No reservations necessary.

Mending Circle

Fridays, 5-6pm in front of Knitty City

Do you have a pile of clothes you've been meaning to fix? Why not sew on that button or patch that hole in the company of other makers and menders? Come to Mending Circle, where we will gather, share ideas about repair, extend the lives of our garments, and hopefully make a dent in that pile!

Mending Circle is intended as an informal time and space to connect over our projects. It is not an instructional class or a repair service. Please bring your own materials. There is no charge to participate, but any donations will go to Fashion Revolution, an nonprofit organization fighting for "a global fashion industry that conserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit."
